I bought the frame in 1981 and set about building up the perfect Italian race bike.  I was working part-time at my LBS at the time and nearly every cent I earned there went into this bike.  I used Campagnolo grease on all bearings.

For awhile I trained on a Raleigh 531 with a jumble of components but I quickly realised that I spent much more time training than racing and that my real love was sitting at home I was out riding something else.  I sold the Raleigh.

After a few years I wanted something lighter and newer so I ordered a custom made Reynolds 753 frame from New Zealand's premier builder, Eddie Bosomworth.  Check my other page for the story on that bike.

I lost contact with this beauty until 2012 when I saw her sitting unused and broken on a mag trainer at the back of a garage in Wellington.  Now she is mine again and I have my work cut out to restore her to anything resembling her former glory.

Opening the box 30 years later.
Frame still intact but some serious rust in places.
Broken DS dropout.
Some components changed.

More pictures to come soon.
