Finished??

Here she is - stunningly beautiful at 32 years old.

The corncob cluster is wishful thinking.  30 years ago I happily raced with a 13-18 straight block but nowadays I use a compact crankset with a wide range 11 speed freewheel.  Am I really going to be able to crunch this up the local 24% hills?  I might have to use this bike for flat rides :D

Lovely.  Notice the holes under the bars where I had once routed cables from Suntour Superbe Pro Aero brake levers.

Cinelli 1R stem a piece of Cino flair.

Another look at the Regina CX freewheel.  The chain is a new Campagnolo Chorus 9 speed that I will soon replace with an Everest Serie Speciale from 1980.

Super Record front derailleur and very clean chainrings.

I used to ride Wolber and Mavic GP4 rims on trainings wheels but my racing set were a pair of Ambrosio 19 Extra Elite Durex.  Time to trawl eBay again and see if I can find a pair of something similar.  I'll be happy with Nisi, Fiamme, FIR or Martano.

Those Alpina spokes are 32 years old and in as new condition.

Just one more look at those bars :D

Seat tube and hand painted lug details.

Super Record titanium pedals with Campagnolo steel toe clips and Victoire reinforced straps (which may yet be replaced with Alfredo Binda).

So far so good.
